About Fountain Inn, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Fountain Inn, SC straddles Greenville County and Laurens County. The town acquired its name in the 1800s, as it was first established as a stagecoach stop featuring a fountain and an inn for the weary travelers of the South. For the past few decades, the little town has been priding itself on being the home of a few famous residents - most notably to Clayton “Peg Leg” Bates, a vaudeville tap dancer who traveled the world dancing despite the loss of a leg at a young age. Fountain Inn also celebrates its status as the former home of humorist Robert Quillen with the annual Aunt Het Family Fall Festival, named for one of Quillen’s most popular comedic characters.
In addition to the Aunt Het Family Fall Festival, Fountain Inn takes advantage of its average annual temperature of 60 degrees to offer multiple outdoor activities and attractions. A well-attended farmer’s market is held every Saturday, featuring farmers and vendors from throughout the Upstate. During the holiday season, the town’s Christmas Festival, The Spirit of Christmas Past, attracts visitors with horse-drawn carriage rides, an ice skating rink and a tour of homes elaborately decorated for the holidays.
