About Travelers Rest, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Travelers Rest was appropriately named for its reputation as a place for shepherds and other travelers to stop in the 18th and 19th centuries. Sitting at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Travelers Rest experiences fairly mild weather, making it an incredibly comfortable place to live. Although it sits next to the sprawling urban city of Greenville, SC, this town of fewer than 5,000 residents and only 4.4 square miles offers the tight-knit community feel of a smaller town, in addition to the youthful energy of a university community. Less than four miles away from the center of town is Furman University, the oldest private university in South Carolina. Rich with the academic and economic activities that surround any University town, Furman University provides athletic events and other activities for area residents to enjoy during the academic calendar.

Residents of Travelers Rest have easy walking access to Greenville and its amenities by way of the Swamp Rabbit Trail which runs along the Reedy River. For the geocaching enthusiasts, 60 active caches can be found along the trail. For those who prefer to stay in the town of Travelers Rest, a day spent in the town center will yield the discovery of many quaint antique shops and other small businesses eager to serve. In 2012, the Travelers Rest Chamber of Commerce was established to help bring more business and vitality to the downtown area.
